BNO CUSTOMER CARE PORTALS

BNO customers/users typically access a support system, accessed inside your customer user area, when requesting technical assistance and other customer activities. These systems are database driven and require a user account to be accessed. The systems use the SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) protocol to ensure secure data transfer.

 

CAREER SECTION

Our Career Section is managed through a 3rd party vendor application. This application uses the SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) protocol to ensure secure data transfer. BNO doesn’t capture data itself other than temporary page request data, which is deleted immediately after the session ends. Most of the data captured through 3rd party systems is kept indefinitely. Temporary cookie data is deleted right after the session ends. Persistent cookies are stored on a user’s hard drive until it expires or until the user deletes the cookie.

 

OPT-OUT

In connection with BNO 3rd party systems that utilize user profiles (Registration, Career Section, Payment Gateway, BNO Customer Care portals) allow the user to delete their profiles, change their information and passwords whenever they like.  In connection with promotions or other projects, BNO may ask you specifically whether you have objections against a certain kind of data use or sharing. If you opt-out under such circumstances, we will respect your decision. To opt-out of receiving further commercial email or to unsubscribe from services, please notify us through privacy@bno.com. Please note that our affiliates and other data recipients have their own data privacy policies, which may differ from ours and you would have to contact them separately with respect to opt-out requests.

 

ACCESSING, REVIEWING, AND CHANGING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

Your password is the key to your account. Use unique numbers, letters and special characters, and do not disclose your BNO password to anyone. If you do share your password or your personal information with others, remember that you are responsible for all actions taken in the name of your account. If you lose control of your password, you may lose substantial control over your personal information and may be subject to legally binding actions taken on your behalf. Therefore, if your password has been compromised for any reason, you should immediately notify BNO that your password has been compromised and change your password.

You can see, review and change most of your personal information by logging on to your account. BNO cannot manually modify your personal information because it is very difficult to verify your identity remotely. You must promptly update your account to reflect any changes to personal information or to correct inaccuracies. Once you make a public posting, you may not be able to change or remove it. Upon your request, we will close your account and remove your personal information from view as soon as reasonably possible, based on your account activity and in accordance with applicable law. We do retain personal information from closed accounts to comply with law, prevent fraud, collect any fees owed, resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce the BNO Terms of Use/User agreement, and take other actions otherwise permitted by law.

 

LINKS TO OTHER WEBSITES

Our Website may contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our Website, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information, which you provide when visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this Policy. You should exercise caution and look at the policies applicable to the website in question.

 

NO SPAM, SPYWARE, or SPOOFING

BNO does not tolerate spam. Make sure to set your BNO communication preferences so we communicate to you as you prefer. You are not licensed to add other BNO users, even a user who has bid or purchased an item from you, to your mailing list (email or physical mail) without their express consent. To report BNO-related spam or spoof emails, please forward the email to spam@bno.com or spoof@bno.com. You may not use our communication tools to send spam or otherwise send content that would violate our User Agreement/Terms of Use. We automatically scan and may manually filter messages to check for spam, viruses, phishing attacks and other malicious activity or illegal or prohibited content, but we do not permanently store messages sent through these tools. If you send an email to an email address that is not registered on this Website (via Refer-a-Friend or other tools), we do not permanently store that email or use that email address for any marketing purpose. We do not rent or sell these email addresses.

 

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

This Website is not a general audience website, and its related sites, applications, services, and tools are not intended for children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information via our websites, applications, services, or tools from users in this age group.

ARBITRATION

These terms of privacy provide that all disputes/claims or cause of action between you and BNO will be resolved by BINDING ARBITRATION. YOU AGREE TO GIVE UP YOUR RIGHT TO GO TO COURT to assert or defend your rights under this agreement. Your rights will be determined by a NEUTRAL ARBITRATOR and NOT a Judge or jury and YOUR CLAIMS CANNOT BE BROUGHT AS CLASS ACTION. The mediation and arbitration, if any, shall take place in the City, State, and County of California (unless another location is mutually agreed to by the parties involved). Any award rendered shall be final and conclusive upon the parties. The costs and expenses of the mediation and arbitration shall be shared by the parties, provided, however, that the arbitrator shall award to the prevailing party, if any, the reasonable costs incurred by the prevailing party in connection with the mediation and arbitration. If the arbitrator determines that a party was the prevailing party on some but not all of the claims and counterclaims, the arbitrator may award the prevailing party an appropriate percentage of the reasonable costs and attorneys' fees incurred by the prevailing party in connection with the mediation and arbitration. The prevailing party in such action shall be entitled to recover its reasonable costs incurred in connection therewith, and if it is determined that a party was the prevailing party on some but not all of the claims and counterclaims, such party may be awarded an appropriate percentage of the reasonable costs it incurred in connection therewith.

 

EFFECTIVE DATES, AMENDMENTS
