Here is the artists depiction of President Obama meeting with the Dalai Lama. During his presidency, Barack Obama met four times with the Dalai Lama, each time sparking anger among Chinese officials who accuse the Tibetan spiritual leader of sponsoring a separatist movement.

The Dalai Lama officially retired in 2011 from his political role as the leader of the exiled Tibetan government, but remains the head of Tibetan Buddhists and the object of scorn from the Chinese government.

In a reference to Andy Warhol’s use of commercial brand products in his art, the artist here makes use of Campbell’s soup and Coco Chanel brands, as well as a pink bow for each of the men.
